Unique company devoted to creating awareness of an individual's Perception Box to provoke acceptance of self and others.
关于我们
Founded by creator, writer, philanthropist and entrepreneur Elizabeth Koch, Unlikely Collaborators is devoted to self-investigation through awareness of an individual’s Perception Box which is built from the material of your beliefs, and has the power to distort your reality and leave you feeling isolated, disconnected, and fearful. We’ll show you how to understand and work with your Perception Box—how to overcome the limiting beliefs that hold you back, expand the possibilities of perception, and invite in new ways of seeing and being seen. We create Unlikely Collaborations through: UNLIKELY IMPACT We support leaders and learners, communities and cohorts, committed to disarming societal and institutional Perception Box issues to collaborate in unlikely ways that further untangle Perception Box stories from within. UNLIKELY INVESTMENTS We invest in leaders who not only expand Perception Boxes but who unceasingly, unpretentiously seek to expand their own. While most of our investments have been at the early stages across areas like mental health and wellness, neurotechnology and psychedelic medicine, we’re open to all manner of unpredictable collaborations. UNLIKELY STORYTELLERS Our books, programs, and media embrace writers, creators, and audiences who push beyond stereotypes; celebrate stories that explore the white space between the lines of our lives, that ask more questions than give answers, and that rattle the walls of our Perception Boxes—expanding the boundaries of who we think we are, and what we think we know. UNLIKELY EXPERIENCES Our experiences use a process of self-investigation that encompasses principles and practices from eastern and western thought, meditation, psychology, and neuroscience—designed to expand your understanding of self, others, and the whole damned world. This process can be fun, torturous, hilarious, berserk—but never boring. When you take the time to truly investigate your Perception Box, you discover something shocking.

At Unlikely Collaborators, we believe that the stories we tell—especially the ones we tell ourselves—shape our realities. That’s why we’re thrilled to support The Michael’s Daughter Foundation through a grant for their transformative program,?Our Stories: Break the Cycle. This initiative provides a powerful platform for youth impacted by parental incarceration and the justice system, helping them reclaim their narratives through filmmaking. By guiding participants in crafting live-action and animated films, the program gives them full creative control—empowering them to reflect, challenge limiting beliefs, and imagine new possibilities for their futures. As Ciera Payton, Founder and Executive Director of The Michael’s Daughter Foundation, so beautifully put it: "For youth affected by the justice system, storytelling becomes a lifeline, offering validation, self-expression, and hope. This grant from Unlikely Collaborators allows us to expand this vital work, helping participants break harmful generational cycles and envision all that they can be." At Unlikely Collaborators, we know that external conflict stems from internal conflict—unconscious biases, beliefs, and narratives that shape our perception of the world. Programs like? Our Stories: Break the Cycle?offer young people the chance to investigate and expand their own?Perception Box, unlocking new perspectives, compassion, and resilience. We are honored to support this work and can’t wait to see the stories these young filmmakers bring to life. #Storytelling #BreakingTheCycle #UnlikelyCollaborators #PerceptionBox

At Unlikely Collaborators, we believe in the transformative power of shifting perspectives—and few things change the way we see the world like the ocean. That’s why we’re thrilled to support the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation (JMMF)?through a new grant that fuels its pioneering work in surf therapy. JMMF provides ocean-based therapy for those navigating mental health challenges, including veterans, active military, healthcare workers, first responders, and at-risk youth. Through the rhythm of the waves and the strength of community, participants are guided to untangle and reframe their inner narratives, and, in turn, expand the walls of the Perception Box?. This partnership reflects our mission to challenge the stories that hold us back—because healing, like surfing, often begins with finding balance in uncertainty.?? We’re proud to stand with JMMF in this powerful work. #UnlikelyCollaborators #MentalHealth #SurfTherapy #ReframingNarratives #JimmyMillerMemorialFoundation
