I feel privileged to represent Unleashed Brands and our more than 1,500 franchise owners this week in Washington, DC as Michael O. Browning Jr. and I joined the International Franchise Association efforts to advocate for small business legislation. Our focus: - Tax fairness for small business owners by making the 2017 TCJA tax cuts permanent. - Improving the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) to benefit business owners who offer job opportunities to individuals in underserved communities. - Restoring 100% bonus depreciation to support local franchisees as they invest in new equipment. - General education on the scale and impact of the franchise industry. 1 of 7 jobs in the US is a franchise created job.
