The LSAMP program aims to increase the number of underrepresented students who successfully complete baccalaureate degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and the number of those students interested in and qualified for graduate studies. The UW LSAMP program supports the NSF’s strategic goal of creating a diverse, competitive, and globally engaged U.S. workforce of scientists and engineers, who will drive innovation and discovery. Established in 2009, LSAMP helps support underrepresented minority students pursuing STEM by offering: - Mentorships with Adaptive Biotechnologies - Internships with Seattle Public Library - Research opportunities such as the LSAMP Scientist Program - a summer research opportunity - A quiet place to study - Free STEM Printing - STEM & Social events
