Earlier this month, we celebrated the official launch of the partnership between the University of Utah and Sandia National Laboratories—a collaboration that will create meaningful opportunities for our students and faculty. This five-year partnership will provide access to research facilities across important domains including biological science, computing and artificial intelligence, earth and environmental science, and quantum technologies. The collaboration offers remarkable opportunities for University of Utah College of Science students, including internships and rotations at Sandia, mentorship from national security researchers, and sponsored capstone projects. The ICP-MS Trace Metals and Isotope Core Facility is looking for an undergraduate laboratory aide to assist with day-to-day operations in the lab.
