There are events available for students, faculty, staff, preceptors, and alumni ?? https://lnkd.in/gNCEsjRB Christopher Jerry experienced an unimaginable tragedy when his two-year-old daughter, Emily, passed away due to a fatal medication error in March 2006. In response, he founded the Emily Jerry Foundation to raise awareness about preventable medical errors, which recent estimates identify as the third leading cause of death in the United States. Over the past decade, Mr. Jerry has collaborated with numerous medical experts to modify core systems, processes, and protocols to enhance patient safety and ensure optimal outcomes. Through his life's work, Mr. Jerry has become a relentless advocate for patient safety and clinicians. He spreads a message of hope, forgiveness, compassion, and collaboration, transforming his personal tragedy into a catalyst for positive change in global healthcare in honor of his daughter, Emily. Congratulations, Sam! ?? --- “Medication Safety Scholars develops pharmacy students into leaders with advanced knowledge and skills in medication safety and quality improvement. Offered in partnership with the Emily Jerry Foundation and partially supported by the ASHP Foundation Henri R. Manasse Legacy Fund, the program's goals are to educate and develop the leadership skills of the next generation of pharmacists.
