Congratulations to Yin Zhu, PhD candidate in Dr. Christian Fernandez's lab, for being selected as a recipient of the prestigious Clinical and Translational Science Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Award (TL1) through the NIH-funded Institute for Clinical Research Education! The goals of this fellowship are to elucidate how the leukemia chemotherapy drug, PEGylated asparaginase, activates hepatic stellate cells causing fibrosis and to develop strategies to prevent liver damage in patients receiving this treatment. ?? #pittpharmacy #h2p ??
