Yesterday, we had the opportunity to tour the UNL City Campus Utility Plant. Thank you to the engineers and operations team for showing us the systems that run our university. On the tour, we had the opportunity to see boilers, filters, chillers, and a turbine powered by superheated steam. This opportunity gave students a chance to see their coursework applied in real life. Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting Prof. Rebecca Lai, Professor of Chemistry at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, for an engaging seminar on "Folding and Dynamics-Based Electrochemical Biosensors". We were thrilled to see students and professionals eagerly participating in this experience. 08A #Polymers Topical: checked! 08A business meeting-checked! And with that, I am officially signing off from my role as Area 08A chair!!! I can’t believe how quickly this year flew by! Last few days have been a whirlwind, but every moment was worth it. I feel like I adopted Area 08A of AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers MESD for a year, and I nurtured it in my own way. It has been a wonderful experience working with all my 08A colleagues! I have to thank Rafael Verduzco (MESD chair) for his tremendous support! Thank you for being such an amazing and cool mentor!
