Fourteen pre-nursing students from the University of Nebraska at Kearney participated in a two-week study abroad program in the Czech Republic and Austria over winter break. This immersive experience, offered through UNK Health Sciences in partnership with Palacky University, provided students with hands-on clinical training in university-affiliated hospitals. With guidance from Czech university students, the group explored historical landmarks such as Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, sampled traditional cuisine and engaged in regional traditions, including visiting a holiday market. The trip helped students expand their global perspective, increase their confidence and prepare for future careers in nursing, with many planning to continue their education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Kearney.

Drivers >We foster positive relationships and effective partnerships, both internally and externally. >We match the personal passions of donors with university priorities. >The giving experience should be rewarding for donors at all levels. >In all that we do, we strive to be leaders and innovators. >We balance a strong work ethic with a commitment to personal wellness. >Philanthropy should be fulfilling, inspiring and fun.
