Last night, we got an inside look at the co-op journeys of Lydia Beardsley and Shreeya Pradhan at the University of Idaho College of Engineering Co-Op Showcase. ?? Lydia, a mechanical engineering senior, spent five months at Packaging Corporation of America. While there, she tackled a challenge the company had put on hold, turning an unsolved problem into a real solution. ?? Shreeya, a senior in computer science and an international student, interned at Idaho National Laboratory in Fall 2024. She not only sharpened her technical skills but also built the confidence to communicate in a professional setting. Dr. Eric Wolbrecht, department chair for mechanical engineering, also shared his own co-op journey, highlighting how those early experiences helped shape his career. The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) at the University of Idaho (UI) is inviting employers to participate in their Annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Arts Symposium to be held on Monday April 21, 2025, from 2:30 – 4:30 pm in the Memorial Gym on the Moscow, ID campus. This past weekend, students from the University of Idaho Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) hosted the Intermountain Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (IACURH) Regional Business Conference right here on campus! A total of 86 delegates from 14 institutions gathered in Moscow, Idaho, to discuss regional business, present bids, and award nominations for the national awards, which will take place at the NACURH conference in May. Not only did our students successfully host the conference, but they also earned the regional nomination for NACURH School of the Year—an incredible honor recognizing outstanding achievements on campus! Congratulations to our students for their hard work and for bringing home this well-deserved recognition!
