Check out the feature on Chris Ayers & his creative solution to create a more sustainable future! #AgDawgs #sustainbility
?? ?? CAES alum Chris Ayers was still a student when he had the idea to create chicken coop systems that are not only solar-powered but also self-propelling. Today, he's making the introduction of sustainable, pasture-raised poultry possible for any farm with his innovative, automated coops. Featured in our 2024 Almanac, "Poultry in Motion" tells the story of how this contest-winning concept became a viable business. The weather and the company was perfect! #AgDawgs #NeverBarkAlone #Agriculture #NorthGeorgia

Tuesday was one of our favorite events where UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences students, alumni, and industry partners came together for this semester’s Intros and Appetizers. The event is set up speed dating-style, where students rotate between tables where alumni and industry partners are seated and have conversations surrounding everything from how they chose their major to proudest professional achievement. We had an incredible time making meaningful connections, and we reminded students and alumni that quick chats through UGA Mentor Program are a year-round option if they are looking for a shorter commitment! You can glean a lot of wisdom and insight in a short amount of intentional time. Thank you CAES alumni & industry partners for taking the time to share with our students!
