The University of Arkansas is ranked 13th among midsized universities in innovation impact based on a recent report by Cullum Clark and The George W. Bush Institute-SMU Economic Growth Initiative. I am proud of the work we are doing at the University of Arkansas Technology Ventures and the role we play in enabling the products and services being developed at the university to impact society. We have moved up 18 spots in this ranking since 2020! Overall, this report explores which universities are performing best in building effective innovation ecosystems and talent pipelines. It includes rankings of 177 leading universities and other research institutions. Innovation impact is defined as research-driven output that crosses beyond the walls of research institutions and influences the wider society and economy. The report constructs a composite score based on nine metrics that capture universities’ impact through patenting, technology commercialization, new business formation, influence on research and patenting by others, and production of STEM graduates. Midsize university classification is determined based on a university's research expenditures. ? #weARinnovators #startherearkansas #economicdevelopment #research #innovation #technologytransfer #AUTM https://lnkd.in/gkCX4aQh

Making college accessible for Pell-eligible students. Very grateful to the Hunt family for making this lead gift to enable a future for so many Arkansans. #studentsuccess
We're launching the public phase of a $200 million fundraising initiative to support our new Land of Opportunity Scholarship campaign – an endowment to bridge the gap in funding for academically successful Arkansans who exhibit a high level of financial need, including Pell-eligible students. The generosity of alumni and friends have secured $122.025 million toward the campaign goal including a $100 million signature planned gift from Jane Hunt and Bryan Hunt on behalf of the J.B. and Johnelle Hunt family. WPS! #uark
