关于我们
Every day we have an opportunity to make University City, Charlotte North Carolina a little better. We invest resources in shaping public spaces and planning for a better-built environment because we know that the University City landscape influences the way we live, work, play and learn. We also put resources into inviting others to invest in this place, whether it’s a headquarters or home. But building University City hasn’t only been about new development, new businesses, and new road & transit infrastructure. It’s about building relationships… and building a community. Great cities and towns have great centers and vibrant places. Our work in the areas of planning and development, economic development and marketing & communications supports the continuation of University City’s growth as a business center anchored in innovation, a residential area with diverse and welcoming neighborhoods and Charlotte, NC’s epicenter for education. We envision and implement strategies and actions to drive University City’s long-term economic vitality as a center for employment, living, education, commerce, and entertainment. Our vision is for Charlotte’s University City to be a vibrant place that is urban in scale and design. It will be energized by transit and will be a popular and accessible destination offering diverse and unique choices for living, shopping, working, learning and enjoying leisure time. It will become a premier employment center in the region with sophisticated infrastructure and attractive amenities. The organization concentrates resources in these three key areas: planning and development, economic development and marketing and communications. As a catalyst, facilitator and thought leader, University City Partners promotes public/private partnerships to create and sustain the economic vitality of University City.

Roll up your sleeves and join us, as we cleanup roadside trash to keep our city clean during the Fall Litter Sweep! Every spring and fall, North Carolina communities come together for the NCDOT Litter Sweep, making a visible difference in our environment. Starting this Saturday (9.14), volunteers will once again hit the roads to help protect our landscapes and keep North Carolina safe and clean. North Carolina Department of Transportation is looking for individuals to help keep our roadsides beautiful. Their county maintenance offices will provide gloves, safety vests and bags. Last night, I joined my colleagues from the business community in support of this generational investment in our region's transportation infrastructure. Here's why ?? ?? ?? ?? As our community has invested in jobs, strengthened neighborhoods, and opened small businesses, we have created more reasons for people to come to and through Charlotte. Just last year, people made 25 million trips to SouthPark—going to and from their homes, work, or the hundreds of restaurants and shops that support a robust visitor economy. So it's no surprise that our transportation needs have grown along with our city and region. We must empower new ways of moving around. And that's why now is the time to unlock the next generation of transportation investment. ?? ?? ??♀? Half of the 64 recommendations in the SouthPark Forward 2035 Vision Plan are related to transportation and mobility—including completing the SouthPark Loop, building mobility hubs, and creating a mobility innovation district that leads by example in developing shared solutions and exploring emerging technology.?SouthPark Community Partners' commitment to this vision includes investing in a microtransit program that we believe can be a model for the region and beyond. ?? ?? ?? In order to achieve our shared vision, new funding sources and partnerships are necessary. Last night's City Council vote is a bold step forward, but it is the beginning of a journey, not the end. There is still lots of hard work ahead—and it requires thoughtful participation by all stakeholders, with intentional community engagement along the way. It was a particular privilege to support this initiative alongside my friends Michael Smith of Charlotte Center City Partners, Keith Stanley of University City Partners, and Joe Bost of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.
