Julia is a dedicated and passionate Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. In her previous role, she provided therapy to adolescents and families referred through Tarrant County Juvenile Probation. Now, in her role as an Inpatient Adolescent Therapist, she is invested in bringing a spirit of collaboration and the highest level of care to our program for teens. Her passion for providing therapy to children and adolescents allowed her to co-present at the Texas Association for Play Therapy 2024 conference. Her areas of interest include working with individuals navigating a history of complex trauma, the impacts of screen time and social media on biopsychosocial wellness, and utilizing play therapy techniques with youths and adults. Julia is a certified yoga teacher and incorporates aspects of mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation in her work. Additionally, she draws from lived experience navigating medical and mental health treatment systems. She believes a foundational principle of wellness is, "Our kids heal when we heal with them." Julia earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University.

Our team works hard every day to ensure we are providing compassionate, timely care, and promoting programs that support mental health awareness, intervention, and recovery. By working closely with our local law enforcement, we’re better able to meet the unique needs of those we serve—making a positive difference, one step at a time. Our amazing adolescent therapists had a blast dressing up in their spookiest, silliest, and most creative costumes to make this Halloween memorable for our adolescent patients. Not only did they bring smiles and the Halloween spirit, but they’re also continuing to provide the compassionate care and support our patients count on.
