At Universal Music Group, we are committed to empowering our artists to create meaningful change through social impact in our communities. We’re thrilled to see Billboard highlight the work of our Global Impact Team, led by Susan Mazo, Chief Impact Officer/EVP, and made up of an incredible group of leaders: Dylan Siegler, Dr. Menna D., Markie Ruzzo, Sharlotte Ritchie, and our partners at Inside Projects, Kristin Jones and Arielle Vavasseur. Thank you ?? to Billboard for shining a light on their important work!
Musicians have often expressed a desire to make a difference in the world, through both their art and their actions. Now, the world’s biggest music company, Universal Music Group, has assembled a powerful squad of corporate leaders to help its artists get the job done. Music industry veteran Susan Mazo — who has been with UMG since 2014, is chief impact officer/executive vp and serves as the founding chair of UMG’s All Together Now Foundation and is a co-creator of the Amplifier Award, which recognizes artists committed to positive change — assembled the new team of specialized change agents. The members of the Global Impact Team, who happen to be all women, include Mazo; UMG senior vp/head of sustainability Dylan Siegler; Kristin Jones and Arielle Vavasseur, co-founders of Inside Projects, a strategy and marketing agency that specializes in social impact; UMG senior vp/executive director of the Task Force for Meaningful Change Menna Demessie; UMG vp of global impact Markie Ruzzo; and UMG senior director of global impact and communications Sharlotte Ritchie.
