Susanne N?rdinger is one of the International Federation of Robotics 10 Women Shaping the Future of Robotics ?? Robotics is evolving fast, with more women making their mark in the field. Susanne is a leader shaping its future in 2025. Susanne’s path to robotics was unconventional. She started as a journalist covering automation, quickly immersing herself in robotics. A key moment came in 2014 when she met Universal Robots founder Esben ?stergaard and former CEO Enrico Krog Iversen. ?? There was something different about UR — the way they talked about collaborative robots, the idea that automation could be accessible to all, not just massive industrial players ?? she recalls. By 2015, she was already shaping key discussions on safety, real-world applications, and the power of automation. When collaborative robots were still new, she pushed the conversation forward, highlighting their benefits and potential. She shifted from journalism to a more hands-on robotics role after earning an MBA in International Business Management and Leadership and joining UR in 2021. Now, she leads the UR+ Ecosystem Success Team for EMEA. For over a decade, Susanne has been a vocal advocate for human-robot collaboration, believing that automation should enhance human ingenuity rather than replace it.
