It was an honor to co-host with SVRN once again and discuss the topic of access. Thank you everyone for coming!
Last weekend we hosted an Investor Symposium with?Unity Holdings and Sidepocket, discussing access to competitive deals. To earn allocation, investors must proactively build deal flow through relationships. Good founders only accept smart money, knowing that capital is easy to get, so to get in with good founders, investors have to prove value. Once investors start seeing good deals, they still need trust and relationships to get into them. If someone we don't know reaches out to invest in SVRN, we won't let them, because we don't yet know, trust, and like them. For individual investors, syndicates are a major value because the manager spends their time to build great deal flow, conduct the necessary due diligence to present the best deals, and provide value-add to their portfolio companies, thereby increasing their likelihood of success. The 20% carry earned by the manager is more than warranted. This is why the combination of community and syndicate is so powerful, and why SVRN partners with Unity Holdings for events and shared deal flow. - Authentic connection leads to trust - A vetted network provides deal flow and value-add - Expert investors conduct effective due diligence SVRN's core approach is to reimagine deal flow by facilitating co-investment and collaboration through authentic connection and community. Soon, SVRN will present our first SPV for one of our member's companies. Stay tuned... David Li Gordon Tsui Linda L. Daniel Idzkowski ????/????
