We LOVE this volunteer collaboration, and we do it every fall. Our friends from #Women United and the NY Jets Women's Organization and a few other volunteers joined us in the beautiful kitchen at Healthy Italia - La Buona Cucina in Madison, NJ to prep huge batches of homemade, healthy soups for local ALICE individuals and families. Thank you, Soup Sisters! We have such a lovely time cooking, eating together, and serving the ALICE population in this way. #volunteer #collaborate #partnership #communitypartnship #UnitedForALICE

Each fall, I join the amazing changemakers with Women United at Soup Sisters to do a little meal prep for a larger purpose: making healthy meals for women and children in need. We chop vegetables, reconnect, and enjoy a beautiful meal together. Full circle moment. I am so proud that Tyneisha Gibbs introduced me at the United Way of Northern New Jersey Women United Rise & Shine Event. We first met over 20 years ago at NJ After 3. I saw the promise of a young woman starting out in her career. Tyneisha has become a force for positive change, working to open the doors of opportunity for those previously shut out. Not only was she an absolute rockstar event host at my organization's signature annual women's event, but she also inspired attendees to uplift ALICE individuals and households in our communities, and across the country. Thank you for all you do and all you are, Tyneisha. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dawn Hall, a cherished United Way volunteer who dedicated countless hours over many years helping plan fundraising events. Dawn’s commitment and care were instrumental in the success of our Honey Open women’s golf outings and Chili Open winter golf events.
