Account Executive at Dstillery | Helping Brands Find Their Best Customers Through Custom Targeting & Cookieless Solutions
Spent a rewarding Wednesday afternoon volunteering at Mile High United Way (fun fact: Denver was the first location where United Way was established!). It was eye-opening to learn about the wide range of services they provide and how these offerings are tailored to meet the unique needs of each community. During our volunteer time, we assembled at-home kits for the HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) program. This initiative equips parents with curriculum and learning tools to ensure children who aren’t enrolled in formal educational programs are ready for kindergarten alongside their peers. A big thank you to - ? Dstillery for supporting employee volunteerism and community engagement ? My clients (and former colleagues) at R&R Partners for inviting me to be apart of this meaningful event ? My wonderful colleague and friend, Danielle Keefe, for also joining us!

Growing up in Colorado’s foster care system, D’Borah lacked the support needed to earn her high school diploma. After aging out of the system, she joined our Bridging the Gap program where she gained stable housing and resources to achieve her academic goals. She is now an advocate for others in foster care and recently joined us at the Colorado State Capitol to testify in support of SB25-150 – a bill to create a pilot program for youth in foster care. Today, the Denver Broncos Football Club and Empower are joining us to cut the ribbon on a new space in our building called The Huddle. This will be a supportive space for young adults transitioning out of the child welfare system to engage in training and coaching sessions, access seasonal clothing and take advantage of a safe child care room. Mile High United Way was able to create The Huddle, thanks to a grant from Empower and the Denver Broncos Foundation. This is the power of a #CommunityUnited!
