Celebrating the Women Who Inspire and Lead ?? Today, we're featuring Laura Leinen, DVM, VP of Talent Management at UVC. "As we honor Women’s History Month, I’m reflecting on the remarkable people who paved the way for me. By the time I attended vet school, the profession was already female-dominated, but that wasn’t always the case. When I joined my first veterinary clinic as a new graduate, 50% of our veterinarians were women, yet we had never had a female medical leader until my retiring mentor encouraged me to step up. He saw leadership potential in me before I did, and I did my best to make him proud. Stepping beyond the clinic, United Veterinary Care has shown me what it truly means to be surrounded by strong, ambitious women in leadership. Their support and encouragement have empowered me to grow, and now, I strive to do the same for the next generation of veterinary leaders. Whether I’m speaking with veterinary students across the country or leading our incredible Recruiting and Learning & Development teams, I’m committed to lifting others as I climb." Sabrina Beck, CVT, LVT, RVT, CVBL & Lindsey Williams, BA, RVT, VTS (ECC) are Talent Development Specialists dedicated to providing educational initiatives for all team members. Lindsey is a veterinary technician specialist in emergency & critical care, and Sabrina is a certified veterinary business leader. ?? Caitlin Vaughn, DVM, CCFP & Dr. Robin Bast are Program Managers of Veterinarian Development. Dr. Vaughn has extensive experience in emergency medicine and mentoring/coaching programs, while Dr. Bast brings a decade of experience in student training and practice management. Each of these women has grown so much from the start of their careers to where they are today. They’re passionate about supporting our colleagues by meeting them where they are and lifting them up as they walk their own growth journeys.
