For 45 years, our Artists in Schools program has brought the arts into classrooms across Wake County, reaching countless students. Last year alone, we worked with 269 artists facilitating 419 school-day programs across 141 schools. These programs are more than just performances—they’re opportunities for students to engage with the arts in ways that foster creativity, academic growth, and cultural understanding. But we’re not stopping here. We need your support to ensure that AIS continues to thrive for the next 45 years. ?? INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Artspace is hiring a summer camp coordinator! The Camp Coordinator is a member of the Engagement + Education Team at Artspace and reports directly to the Education Manager. This position is perfect for a rising college junior or senior studying Art Education, Arts Administration, Visual Arts or a related field OR who has experience in programming, recreation, and art education. The ideal candidate has some experience in developing and/or managing youth educational programming (Summer Camps, Student Teaching Experience, Tutoring, Daycare or Afterschool care, etc.) ?? Dates: Monday June 9th - Friday August 15th (no work from June 30th - July 4th) ?? Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, in-person at Artspace (201 E Davie Street, Raleigh NC) ?? The Southern Arts Relief & Recovery Fund from South Arts provides $2,000 grants to help Southern artists recover after Hurricanes Helene & Milton. Share this with artists in need.
