?? March is Read Across America Month—a time to celebrate the power of books and the joy of reading! Here's a look at exciting collaboration in action! United Way of the Coastal Empire's President & CEO Kimberly Waller joined Live Oak Public Libraries?Executive Director Lola DeWitt at the WTOC-TV studios recently to showcase the shared commitment to childhood literacy. During their visit, they discussed United Way's impactful Read United initiative and unveiled details about an engaging competition challenging elementary students across Savannah-Chatham County Public School System to increase their library book checkouts! We know that early literacy plays a crucial role in a child's success. Join us for Read Across America this week where volunteers are reading aloud in classrooms, inspiring young minds, and fostering a lifelong love of books. Together, we can help build stronger literacy and language skills for children in communities across Georgia. #ReadAcrossAmerica #ReadUnited #Literacy

United Way’s Community Impact Grants help support nonprofits, allowing them to continue their life-changing work in our communities. In a recent interview with Georgia CEO, Johnelle Simpson II shared why he values these grants — particularly the accountability portion. These grants ensure nonprofits are not only funded but also held accountable for creating real, lasting impact in the lives of those they serve. Thank you, Johnelle, for the work that you do!
