The 10th Annual New York Fathering Conference is being held on Thursday, March 13th, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Westchester County Center! United Ways work together! Through our Essential Good for Basic Needs (EGBN) program, we connected United Way of Rockland County with literacy kits that were distributed to local children and their families. Studies show that the key to a child’s long-term success is being able to read on level by the end of 3rd grade. That's why each literacy kit contains three books, including at least one bilingual book, 100 Days of Learning cards, and a folder with activities and resources for parents to support their child's learning.
