This event starts Saturday morning (1/24/25) with a light breakfast at the Gainsboro Library and includes speakers, a tour, neighborhood clean-up, a tribute to Nikki Giovanni at the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, panel discussion about food deserts and advocacy, all while celebrating and honoring the life of the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.?

Skyrocketing cost of living and rising rents make it harder to get by on a fixed income. That slides more older adults into housing instability and homelessness. Currently, 1 in 5 people experiencing homelessness are 55 and older, and nearly 50% are unsheltered – sleeping in doorways, under bridges and in vehicles.

Wow - what a huge success Holiday Portraits with Santa was at Hotel Roanoke's Fashions for Evergreens. We are so honored to be the beneficiary of this event for another year.
