A huge thank you to Hawthorn Homes for their incredible service this morning! The team performed some heavy labor to help prepare the American Fork United Way Center for its grand opening next month. Their hard work included uprooting several large trees and shrubs, clearing away huge piles of abandoned debris, and hauling it all out by many truckloads. We are so grateful to have such dedicated volunteers. Your work helped to make this community center a nice place for families to gather. We can better support the income, health, and education of the American Fork area because of you! We’re now one step closer to officially opening our doors to the community, but the work doesn’t stop here. Looking forward to teaming up with BrainStorm next week for yardwork part 2!

United Way of Central and Southern Utah is proud to announce the launch of our Ride United: Transportation Access program! We’re providing free and discounted Lyft rides to help people access essential medical services and employment in the Utah County Area. We can offer 1 ride a week per client.

A big thank you to the incredible Texas Instruments volunteers who dedicated their time to a major service project at the American Fork United Way Center last week! Thanks to their hard work, key projects were completed in preparation for the center's grand opening in April. These included assembling furniture, installing light fixtures, hanging mirrors and whiteboards, and even painting a mural. Their contributions have truly transformed the space, making it both functional and beautiful. We are beyond grateful for our ongoing partnership with Texas Instruments and continue to be inspired by their unwavering commitment to giving back to our community. Utah County is lucky to have you!

We were honored to partner with Wavetronix at their Intersect Conference, where employees and partners had the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way. Tax season is upon us and you know what that means? Our VITA program needs VOLUNTEERS!!! ?? VITA is short fot Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and no previous finance experience is required! All training will be provided!! (We especially are in need of Spanish speakers.) Each year VITA brings over $4 MILLION back into the hands of individuals and families in Utah County, and you can help them in the process. Last month, Barnes & Noble, Inc. in Orem did a book drive and donated hundreds of books for both our Sub for Santa and EveryDay Learners programs! ?? These books went to local families to help them build their home libraries. They will also be given to?Welcome Baby?families in gifts bags for new parents.
