For the past five years, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, in partnership with F.N.B. Corporation, has hosted the Tools for Schools event, packing essential school supplies for children in our region. This year, to celebrate the milestone, 150 volunteers came together to pack supplies for 10,000 students across 30-40 schools! Originally created to help teachers during pandemic classroom shutdowns, Tools for Schools has grown tremendously. It’s Throwback Thursday, and with Pittsburgh Steelers season starting this Sunday, we’re reminiscing about our annual kick-off event that took place at the Steelers’ preseason opener at Acrisure Stadium / PSSI Stadium LLC. During halftime, F.N.B. Corporation, PNC and PPG competed in the kick-off, with PNC taking the win and presenting a $10,000 check to United Way.
