?? Igniting Change for ALICE in the Northern Shenandoah Valley ??
Across our region, nearly 40% of our workforce—including teachers, healthcare aides, and retail employees—are ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These hardworking individuals earn too much to qualify for traditional assistance but too little to cover the rising costs of housing, childcare, healthcare, food, and transportation.
?? ALICE families are one emergency away from financial crisis. A car repair, medical bill, or rent increase could mean the difference between stability and hardship.
??United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley leading the way in supporting ALICE households through strategic investments, collaborative partnerships, and data-driven solutions that ensure families don’t just survive—but thrive.

?? Every dollar invested in ALICE has a ripple effect—reducing reliance on emergency services, increasing workforce retention, supporting small businesses, and ensuring long-term economic stability across our region.
?? Let’s continue to drive meaningful change, expand opportunity, and ignite a future where every hardworking individual and family has the resources they need to thrive.
