United Way brings our community together to improve lives.
关于我们
United Way brings our community together to improve lives in the areas of Youth Success, Health and Household Stability. We amplify individual passion to take on our toughest challenges together. We don’t focus on a single issue because change is bigger than one organization or program. We partner with nonprofits and invest in programs that show measurable outcomes—every year. Together, we create new solutions to old problems and join with people from all walks of life to put those solutions into action. We make it easier to make a difference, whether it’s through time, money or lifting your voice. We are more than fundraisers. We are the hand raisers, the game changers.

No matter who you are or what your situation is, asking for help is never easy. After the loss of her daughter and husband, Joan found herself caring for her three young grandkids alone. Priding herself on being self-sufficient all her life, asking for help did not come easy when she found herself struggling to provide for them. Her story was soon changed as she worked up the courage to connect with community food resources. Today, they no longer worry about where their next meal will come from. Join us in changing stories like Joan’s during this year’s campaign: https://lnkd.in/gd5vBTNZ

We kicked off our 2024 United Way Campaign this morning volunteering alongside 150 of our neighbors! Volunteers came together to build 1,750 chili meal kits to be shared with our community through 12 of our partner agencies. These kits will provide a shelf-stable meal for a senior, an easy-to-make family dinner for a single parent, a bonding experience for a teen and mentor, and a much-needed meal for someone struggling to make ends meet. Thank you to those who joined us today, this is just one example of what we can do when we work collectively. A special shoutout to our sponsors Corteva Agriscience, Case Systems, Inc. and Members First Credit Union, our host the Great Lakes Loons and our ReGrow Together partners Hidden Harvest, Midland County Food Assistance Network and Food Bank of Eastern Michigan!
