Another inspiring year attending the Women United brunch! This year, the Women in Philanthropy Award was presented to the renowned educator and scholar, Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings, whose work in equity and education continues to inspire and transform lives. Her incredible achievements in educating, empowering, and uplifting young women and girls to become leaders in our community were truly deserving of recognition. I’m incredibly proud that BMO was the presenting sponsor, reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable business model that prioritizes community investment and social responsibility. This year’s event focused on supporting the financial security of women in our community, recognizing it as essential to inclusion. When women are financially stable, their families benefit for generations. The fundraiser exceeded its original goal of $70,000, raising an impressive $100,000! The powerful stories shared by Renee Moe, Gisèle Sutherland and Dr. Ladson-Billings were a reminder of our shared responsibility to create a society with no barriers to inclusion. #ProudToWorkAtBMO #PowerofCaringWorkingforAll Andrew Roethe Leanne WegeMichelle Alstad United Way of Dane County
