I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Generational Giving Manager at United Way of Central Oklahoma!

With a heavy heart, we announce Judy Love, co-founder of Love’s Travel Stops has passed away at the age of 87. Along with her beloved husband, the late Tom Love, Judy founded the family-owned and -operated business in 1964. The network has since grown to include more than 650 locations across the country. In addition to her role with the company, keeping the books in the early years and remaining secretary and treasurer as it grew to open locations in 42 states, she was admired for her warmth, generosity and community involvement.? https://lnkd.in/g6y7udWb

We are excited to share that our 2024 United Way of Central Oklahoma employee giving campaign was a success, made possible by our team’s enthusiasm, generosity, and unwavering commitment to supporting our community. During our campaign, we enjoyed team-building volunteer activities, fundraisers like SINGO and our spirited annual costume contest. With 100% participation, our team rallied together to exceed our pledge goal by and impressive 16.26%! Giving back is in our ethos. It's part of who we are. This year, we raised more than $10,000 for United Way of Central Oklahoma at our 22nd annual chili cook-off, Carne Diem. Events like this are hard work to pull off, but so worth it. We are grateful for our extremely talented team, partners and community who make it successful, year in and year out.

Several of our team members recently volunteered to be Classroom Buddies in Sunbeam Family Services’ Early Head Start program. They spent time engaging with babies, toddlers, and teachers, supporting an enriching early learning environment. The day was part of the United Way of Central Oklahoma’s annual Day of Caring.
