It was an honor to walk alongside a couple hundred community leaders and volunteers for the first Coldest Night of the Year 5k walk in Connecticut. Appreciate the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness for bringing this event to Hartford and our colleagues at United Way of Connecticut for co-sponsoring the event. Today, on our President and CEO Eric Harrison’s third anniversary joining United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, we walked alongside the Community Renewal Team, Inc. and the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness for the Connecticut’s FIRST Coldest Night of the Year Walk! ?? This #5K was an opportunity to come together to experience the challenges and hazards faced by those who are outside, while raising awareness and funds to provide our vulnerable neighbors with the services and supports they need to become housed. We were excited to sponsor this event, and have so many of our dedicated staff members and their families walk. #unitedtoendpoverty
