Founded in 1948, the United States Bartenders’ Guild?? is a non-profit professional society of bartenders and other hospitality professionals uniting the hospitality community to advance professional bartending. The USBG envisions every US bartender achieving greater personal and professional success by connecting to diverse local and national hospitality communities. Through its network of over 40 communities nationwide, the USBG connects members with peer-to-peer learning, expert instruction, community service projects, and skills-based competition.

Meet United States Bartenders' Guild Bar Summit Speaker Theodore A. Breaux T. A. Breaux is a native New Orleanian, research scientist, and distiller with over 30 years of experience studying absinthe. He is the founder of Jade Liqueurs and co-directed the effort to lift the USA’s 95-year ban on absinthe, as well as the last remnants of the original French ban. Breaux has been featured in numerous international television appearances (The History Channel, Discovery Channel, CBS, MSNBC, Travel Channel, PBS, etc.) and is a co-author of peer-reviewed scientific studies on vintage absinthe, as well as the book Absinthe: The Exquisite Elixir (Chicago Review Press / Fulcrum - ISBN: 1682750019).
