The mission of USABA is to empower Americans who are blind or visually impaired to experience life-changing opportunities in sports, recreation, and physical activities, thereby educating and inspiring the nation. A member organization of both the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and U.S. Soccer, USABA is certified by the USOPC as the national governing body for the Paralympic team sports of goalball and blind soccer. Since its founding in 1976, USABA has reached more than 100,000 individuals through its multi-sport programming and emerged as more than just a world-class trainer of blind athletes: it has become a champion of the abilities of Americans who are legally blind. What a day at the second annual PlayLA Adaptive Sports Blind Soccer Experience last Thursday. Together with the LA Galaxy, U.S. Association of Blind Athletes - USABA, and Dignity Health, local blind and visually impaired students had the unique chance to participate in a blind soccer demonstration and meet players from the first-ever USA Blind Soccer Men's National Team. Thank you to our partners and Anthem volunteers for making this day possible and spreading a shared love of soccer to everyone.

Today, in conjunction with Global Accessibility Awareness Day, USABA announced a collaboration with Google Pixel as the organization’s global technology partner. USABA Sport Ambassadors will use Pixel phones and other Google tools and services to share their personal stories through outreach and advocacy and will work with Google Pixel to achieve greater accessibility, aligning with Google’s mission to make information universally accessible and useful.
