Our officers Steven Gorden, Billiam Lopez, and Adrian Hernandez recently helped organize an Easter egg hunt for children living in temporary cottages on the Zambarano Hospital campus in Rhode Island. These dormitory-style units are currently being used to shelter homeless families, and while the circumstances are difficult, small moments of joy make a big difference. We are proud of our officers for going above and beyond their duties to support the community with empathy and care. While working at the New Haven Department of Social Services (DSS), Security Officer Robert Hada was stationed at the lobby post when he was urgently approached by a distressed individual whose one-year-old daughter was unresponsive and not breathing. Officer Hada immediately stepped in. Seeing that the child had no signs of breathing and her lips were turning blue, he began administering life-saving measures. With the assistance of DSS Supervisor Stacey Fappiano, the child’s airway was cleared and she began to breathe again. His quick thinking and decisive action in a critical moment helped save a life. We are honored to recognize Officer Hada for his bravery and outstanding response under pressure.

Fasten your seat belts! Jose Alfonso is making an impact beyond the security industry. United Security, Inc. (USI) Regional Training Manager, Jose Alfonso, was a featured guest speaker at the 2025 World Aviation Training Summit (WATS), in Orlando, Florida. As the world’s largest aviation training event, WATS brings together airlines and aviation professionals from across the globe. This marks Jose’s fourth consecutive year presenting at the conference. This year, Jose delivered his signature presentation on “The Conscious Mindset”, a course he developed to empower individuals with the principles of personal safety awareness. In addition to his keynote, he led a scenario-based personal protection workshop tailored for flight attendants. The hands-on session included timed drills and real-world simulations to maximize learning and practical application. Jose’s commitment to safety and training extends far beyond our organization, and we’re proud to support his efforts as he prepares to speak this fall at the European Aviation Training Summit in Portugal. #WATS2025 #AviationTraining #IndustryLeaders #USIProud
