United Providers of Health (UPOH) is an Independent Providers Association (IPA) dedicated to bridging healthcare gaps in rural and underserved communities. Through strategic partnerships and Value-Based Care contracts, we empower independent healthcare providers with the tools, networks, and support they need to deliver high-quality, sustainable care. Beyond provider collaboration, UPOH directly addresses health disparities by integrating Social Determinants of Health into our initiatives. From offering COLA- and CLIA-certified lab testing to revitalizing rural infrastructure, our work goes beyond traditional healthcare models to create lasting community impact. Our leadership team has successfully partnered with primary care providers, behavioral health organizations, and residential care facilities, fostering collaboration across diverse healthcare sectors. By facilitating access to evidence-based practices and provider networks, we enhance care delivery, sustainability, and innovation. Our Impact: ? Community Health Initiatives – From COVID-19 response efforts to annual turkey giveaways, we mobilize resources where they’re needed most. ? Rural Revitalization—Transforming local infrastructure, such as the grand opening of Bethel Hardware and the relaunch of Bethel Pharmacy, to expand access to essential services. ? Addressing Food Insecurity – Launching People’s Grocery and Coffee Shop and More this June 2025 to support economic growth and nutritional access. After more than 20 years without a local grocery store, the wait is nearly over. We know the road hasn’t been easy, but we’re so grateful for the resilience and support of our community. Together, we’ve faced delays, zoning challenges, and plenty of trial and error—but it’s all been worth it to bring people’s grocery to life. This June, Bethel will have its own grocery store, giving our seniors, families, and neighbors the convenience and connection they deserve. And that’s not all—United Providers of Health is working to bring a cozy coffee shop to town, too. As resident Vera Edwards says, "Our blessing is coming."
