During the latest session with the "Senior Graphic Design" group, we thoroughly explored the packaging design process. Under the guidance of the instructor, students were introduced to all the necessary steps to complete a successful packaging design project, observing each stage in real-time. We began by creating the concept through sketches, taking into account the target audience and product clientele. In this case, the chosen product was a food item – "muffins" – and the target audience was Generation Z. Based on this demographic, the design concept incorporated vibrant colors and illustrations to better resonate with their preferences. Next, students engaged in the product photography process, where the technical details of the digital camera, lighting, and composition were explained. We also discussed the importance of selecting the right typography, colors, and element positioning to create an attractive and cohesive design. In the end, students learned how to prepare the documents for print, covering all the technical details required to ensure a professional and high-quality final product.
