As we open the 79th session of the General Assembly, we confront a world in trouble. But the good news is that we can do something about it. The challenges facing humanity today are not insurmountable if we work together. #UNGA is the place where solutions are made. And we need solutions across the board. Step by step, solution by solution, leaders can re-build trust and faith in one another, and in what we can accomplish through collaboration and solidarity. The UN General Assembly remains an indispensable tool and a vital pathway towards a peaceful and just future for all people. Let’s renew our commitment to that future.
