🌍 The flame of youth sports has been lit again – and it’s spreading across the region! The city of Križevci in Croatia hosted the grand opening of the 29th season of the Youth Sports Games, the largest amateur sports event in Europe, bringing together more than 340,000 children and youth from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ceremony was attended by top officials including Croatia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović, Minister of Tourism and Sport Tonči Glavina, MEP and Croatian Parliament representative Karlo Ressler, along with local leaders and business representatives. Among the guests were key representatives of United Group: Victoriya Boklag, CEO, United Group, Adrian Ježina, CEO, Telemach Hrvatska and Mislav Galler, CCO and Management Board Member, Telemach Hrvatska. 🤸♂️ As a proud member of United Group, the leading telecom and media operator in Southeast Europe, Telemach Hrvatska has been a strong supporter of this initiative for the fourth year in a row – promoting sports, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles among the youngest members of our society. Through Telemach Sports Day, over 110 events have been organized across Croatia, engaging more than 120,000 children. 📺 The opening ceremony was broadcast live in many countries via our Sport Klub and N1 channels, helping spread the Games’ message of friendship, inclusion, and community to millions of viewers across the region. Happy Sea Project – Technology Serving the Environment 🌊🌍   Telemach Hrvatska, in cooperation with DIH Innovamare, is the first telco in Croatia to use cutting-edge 5G technology for driving real environmental change. ♻️   At Kolovare Beach in Zadar, an underwater cleanup initiative marked the first-ever use of Croatia’s autonomous vessel, Faust V, powered by Telemach’s 5G network, to detect and remove marine waste. Alongside the Sv. Roko Bibinje diving club and nearly 50 elementary school students, over one ton of waste was removed from the sea and shoreline. In addition, an educational workshop, in collaboration with the University of Zadar, helped students deepen their knowledge of marine conservation and biodiversity.   Telemach’s Happy Sea initiative reflects our commitment to preserving the Adriatic Sea and raising ecological awareness. By leveraging innovation, 5G technology, and education, we’re making a meaningful impact and helping build a sustainable future for all. 🌱

Today, at the Forbes ESG Summit, Nikolai Andreev and Boyan Karshakov, EMBA presented United Group’s groundbreaking renewable energy project. Just two months ago, the Group announced an unprecedented €120 million investment in the construction of three solar power plants and one wind farm - a transformative step toward a sustainable future. Starting in 2027, these projects will fully power United Group’s operations in Bulgaria, eliminating reliance on external electricity sources. Beyond securing energy independence, this initiative is a crucial milestone in our journey toward carbon neutrality by 2040, reinforcing our commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable world. In collaboration with the Slovenia Forest Service and Projekt O2, we used drones and seed balls to restore forested areas in challenging terrain.
