Recently our Texas Team topped out the Engineering Discovery Building (EDB) at UT Austin. A 210,000 SF state of the art structure designed to foster collaboration and forge industry partnerships. The seven month long, on time delivery of the concrete structure build was led by a great client and partner in Vaughn Construction. Architect services led by CO Architects & BGK Architects and Structural design by Datum Rios, LLC. This building marks United Forming, Inc’s third engineering building on UT Austin campus and joins Energy Engineering (GLT) and the UT Austin Flagship EERC Building (ENR Texas & Louisiana awarded Best Project of the Year for 2018). UT Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering with these investments continues to offer cutting edge and nation best STEM Education and Research facilities. Recently our Atlanta Team completed the DCH Regional Medical Center South Parking Deck in Tuscaloosa, AL, and it is something to be proud of! The new cast-in-place structure replaced an old precast parking structure and includes three elevated slabs, approximately 268,000sf-GBA in total, and a lot of architecturally exposed radiused crash walls and perimeter beams. We're excited to announce a new project starting up in Houston, Hobby Airport West Concourse Expansion! This project will add seven new gates to Hobby Airport for domestic and international flights. UFI's Houston team will be running this project, and they are about to kick off with the auger cast pile operation.
