Established in 1997 with the consolidation of Nodaway Worth Electric and Northwest Missouri, United Electric has headquarters at 401 North Highway 71 in Savannah, Missouri. United Electric has over 4,000 miles of distribution lines that provide power to more than 9,700 meters in 11 counties in Missouri and Iowa.

Phil Jensen, director of United Electric Cooperative, Savannah, was recently appointed as a district representative to the 2024-25 Executive Committee of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC), Jefferson City. AMEC is the service organization of the state’s 47 electric cooperatives, which serve more than 580,000 businesses and homes. As a member of the Executive Committee, Jensen will have responsibility for reviewing the association’s annual work plan and budget and monitoring its operating policies. The Executive Committee consists of 12 members and three officers.

Jim Bagley, CEO of United Electric Cooperative, Savannah, was recently appointed as a district representative to the 2024-25 Member and Public Relations Committee of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC), Jefferson City. AMEC is the service organization of the state's 47 electric cooperatives, which serve more than 580,000 businesses and homes. As a member of the Member and Public Relations Committee, Bagley will oversee activities dealing with publications, communications and activities developed to bring about understanding and support of the rural electric program by the general public, members and employees of Missouri electric cooperatives. This includes review of AMEC's award-winning statewide publication,?Rural Missouri. Activities considered by this committee will also include those initiated to build a strong and effective relationship between the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, its member systems and potential members.
