CEO of United Communications, focused on expanding fiber broadband throughout Middle Tennessee
I was thrilled to share the details of United Communications' $12 Million fiber infrastructure investment in Marshall County with Emily Hill Darnell and the Marshall County Joint Economic and Community Development Board this week. Our initiative, Project Unite, has already brought service to over 40,000 underserved homes and businesses in Middle TN, including 6,000 in Marshall County. This final phase will serve the remaining portions of the County that still lack access. A 2024 study sponsored by NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association showed that rural counties with high broadband adoption experienced over 200% higher business growth, 44% higher GDP growth, and 18% higher per capita income growth over counties with lower broadband adoption. Thank you to our partners at Duck River EMC and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development for working together for Marshall County.
