Today honors the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a leader who passionately advocated for justice and equality and led the American Civil Rights Movement until his death in 1968. Let us remember Rev. Dr. King while also celebrating progress in the aviation industry. ?????

This past week United Aviate Academy students attended the University Aviation Association (UAA) Policy Seminar, where they had the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders in the aviation industry, including representatives from the FAA, NTSB, NBAA, and board members of the Royal Aeronautical Society at Airbus. During the seminar, they gained in-depth knowledge of aviation policy, had the chance to ask questions to policymakers, and deepened their understanding of the industry’s intricacies in Washington, D.C. This experience also provided opportunities for networking, allowing students to build connections with professionals across the sector and contribute to the advancement of aviation as a whole. As we kick off the new year with an incredible class- United Aviate Academy would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to UAA alumni and CommuteAir First Officer, Nic Burroughs, for speaking to our January BI class. This was a full-circle moment, as Nic began his journey at UAA in 2022. After completing all seven ratings and serving as a CFI, Nic returned on Monday to give back and share meaningful advice with our new incoming students. His willingness to "pay it forward" and offer guidance is a testament to his commitment to the aviation community and to helping future pilots succeed.
