The meeting was dedicated to the late and great Pete W. Orvis, an industry veteran and founding member of CASIA - CT Alarm and Systems Integrators Association! ?? Pete was also the founder of quite-a-successful security and fire alarm company headquartered in CT, Security Solutions, Inc. Pete was a mentor, a leader and a visionary his entire career. It was quite heartwarming at the meeting last Thursday, when several people got up to speak to share their favorite memories of Pete. An industry cornerstone like Pete will surely be missed, but never forgotten. We were thrilled to welcome our first speaker, Shane Klesh, a WCSU alum and former Western Marketing Association President, who currently serves as a Training Specialist at United Alarm Services Inc. United Alarm specializes in providing tailored security solutions to both commercial and residential clients. We gained valuable insights not only on interview and job application tips, but also from his experience with United Alarm, collaborating with him in a Think Tank session. During the Think Tank, we collectively worked on marketing strategies for security system enhancements. Our collaborative efforts fostered innovation and creative problem-solving.
