Migration governance must center equity, inclusion, and lived experiences. UUSC is proud to join feminists worldwide at the Feminist Forum on Migration & Displacement with Women in Migration Network (WIMN) to address exploitation, violence, and racism in migration policy. #FFMD2024 #FeministMigrationForum https://lnkd.in/e67_-SGW

关于我们
The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) is a nonsectarian organization advancing human rights and social justice in the United States and around the world. For more than 80 years, UUSC has engaged people of faith and conscience in responding to vital human rights crises across the world. UUSC’s eye-to-eye partnership model is rooted in radical trust; trust that pushes the institution to partner with grassroots organizations to assess, understand and act on the issues facing the communities most impacted by oppression. These grassroots partnerships are instrumental in not only helping UUSC and its followers understand issues of injustice and oppression, but to center the voices, wisdom, experiences, expertise, and solutions of those who deal with oppression firsthand. We build these relationships with the goal of following the leadership of communities living at the forefront of some of the most pressing social justice issues of our time.

As climate impacts accelerate, communities worldwide are facing devastating consequences—and for many, it’s a crisis they didn’t create. The Witness Stand project, launched by Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change, is now inviting global participation in the largest climate justice case in history. This is a unique chance for all of us to tell the International Court of Justice (ICJ) why climate justice matters. Share a story that captures how the climate crisis has shaped your life or motivates you to act. Through #WitnessStand videos, the ICJ will hear real voices calling for urgent action. Learn how you can record and submit your own story: uusc.org/witness-stand. Together, let’s amplify this movement for a world that respects communities, cultures, and a sustainable future.

Imagine having the chance to influence a global decision on climate justice. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is preparing to issue a landmark opinion on climate responsibilities, and now people from all walks of life are invited to share their stories. The #WitnessStand project, led by Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change, allows each of us to contribute our personal experiences of the climate crisis. Whether you’ve been impacted directly or support the movement as an ally, your voice matters. Join the world’s largest climate justice case by recording a short video on how climate change has affected your life, family, or community. Visit uusc.org/witness-stand to learn more about how to participate and make your story part of this historic call for accountability.
