HomeTown Health recognizes hospital leaders who are dedicated to the cause of rural healthcare through their proven service to their hospitals at its annual awards presentation. As the award was presented, Kristy Thomson, COO of HomeTown Health shared, “This CFO is responsible for the overall financial strategy, planning, fiscal health, compliance and sustainable growth at his organization, which consists of two rural hospitals, two nursing homes and over 20 affiliated facilities. He manages over 100 employees and at 38 years old, he has already been a CFO for 12 years. He works hard to ensure his hospital system adopts and utilizes the most up-to-date technology to eliminate deficiencies. Under his leadership, the health system has seen a 10 percent growth year over year for the last eight years.
