关于我们
Founded in 1976 by 24 construction and trade unions, Union Bank & Trust remains one of the only financial institutions in the nation owned and controlled by the very members who created it. For nearly half a century, we have been a state-chartered, FDIC-insured, union-owned bank and trust, providing financial strength with the personal service of a community institution. Our mission has never wavered: to deliver world-class banking and trust services while championing the working men and women who build and power this country. With the same capabilities as the largest financial institutions, our highly credentialed team offers a tailored, hands-on approach that puts our clients first—whether they are local trade unions, national labor organizations, or individuals seeking a trusted financial partner. In 1982, we expanded our services with the formation of our Trust Division, acting as a custodian for Taft-Hartley pension, vacation, and health & welfare funds. Today, we are a nationally recognized leader in trust services, safeguarding more than $11 billion in assets for union pension and health & welfare funds across the country. Built by hardworking tradespeople, we remain committed to securing the long-term financial well-being of those same individuals—now and for generations to come. True to our founding values, we don’t shy away from industries that drive job creation and economic growth. That’s why, for the past 10 years, we have been a leader in cannabis-related banking, ensuring that businesses in this evolving industry have access to stable, transparent financial services. We firmly believe cannabis will create jobs, strengthen Minnesota’s economy, and provide new opportunities for workers and communities. Unlike other institutions, we refuse to impose unnecessary hurdles or hidden fees—because at UBT, we don’t believe in the so-called "canna tax." We believe in fair, responsible banking that fuels progress. At Union Bank & Trust, we don’t just manage money

?? Lucky Leaf Expo Recap – The Energy Was Electric! ??? What an incredible few days at Lucky Leaf Expo! We had great fun at Sota Cann?'s Thursday night party to CannaConnect’s Friday night bash, the Minnesota cannabis industry showed up and showed out. The energy, collaboration, and passion on display were truly inspiring. ?? Connections That Matter We had some amazing conversations with business owners, operators, and advocates who are all working toward the same goal—building a strong, sustainable cannabis industry in Minnesota. The overwhelming support for one another was incredible to see. This isn’t just about individual success; it’s about strengthening the entire ecosystem so we all thrive together. ? CannaTax? Still? It’s surprising that some providers are still pushing the idea of a CannaTax—an unnecessary burden on businesses already navigating high costs and complex regulations. We need to be fighting for policies that support growth, not stifle it. ?? Real Business Impact One of the most eye-opening conversations we had was with a business owner paying nearly $30,000 annually in bank fees just to keep their cannabis business running. That’s money that could be going toward hiring more staff, expanding operations, and strengthening the local economy. This is exactly why access to fair and transparent banking services is critical for the industry’s success. ??? A Union-Built Future A strong, thriving cannabis industry means skilled union jobs that bolster the middle class. As the market grows, so does the opportunity for good-paying jobs that provide stability for workers and their families. We believe in an industry that’s built by the people, for the people—one that supports both small business owners and hardworking Minnesotans looking for careers in a growing sector. ?? The Takeaway Lucky Leaf Expo was a powerful reminder that Minnesota’s cannabis industry is here to stay and grow. The collaboration, the passion, and the drive to create something meaningful were on full display. We’re excited for what’s ahead, and we’ll keep pushing for a system that truly supports businesses, workers, and the entire community. ?? Onward and upward, Minnesota! ?? #LuckyLeafExpo #CannaConnect #SotaCann #CannabisBanking #NoCannaTax #UnionStrong #MiddleClassGrowth #MNcannabis Brandon Padget, PBC-IITaylor RollinsSean ColeCorrine JohnsonOliver Gutierrez-Garcia ,PCB- II
