Shaping the future we want through entrepreneurial action.
关于我们
The GREC aims to build a strong culture of responsible entrepreneurship at UNIGE and beyond. It generates and disseminates knowledge at the intersection of entrepreneurial action and sustainable development. In particular, it focuses on reframing societal challenges into entrepreneurial opportunities, harnessing the power of collective action, building responsible businesses, and measuring sustainability and impact. The mission of the GREC comprises four key components: 1) Research, 2) Education and inspiration, 3) Entrepreneurial project support, and 4) Community and network building. The Geneva Responsible Entrepreneurship Center is hosted at Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM). It was established to capitalize on the complementary skills and resources of GSEM and the Faculty of Science but is open to everyone—students, researchers, as well as teaching and administrative staff—affiliated with UNIGE.

Through the semester, you’ll engage with real startups and work side-by-side with other entrepreneurs to develop sustainable business models. Gain expertise in pitching, collaboration, and impact-driven strategies while working in diverse, cross-disciplinary teams. We’re proud to share that in the first week, we’ve seen a record number of students attending—a testament to the growing passion for responsible entrepreneurship. On Monday 10 Feb, GREC hosted a Futures Wonder Lab session from our resident futurist Elaine France, FRSA with a group of students from the International School of London Qatar. ? These sessions fuse entrepreneurial education with futures literacy, to empower young people as problem-solvers for people and planet, starting with their own communities. ? Exploring today's problems by stepping into futures, enables us to come back to the present day and take tangible action. #FuturesThinking #Entrepreneurship #Sustainability #Innovation #GREC
Helping problem-solvers for the planet use foresight to imagine, design & create flourishing futures with their communities.
Be prepared for futures in 2037!! According the students from the International School of London Qatar, they're going to come with: ?? Rockets that clean up planetary trash by flying it into the sun. ?? JARVIS the fake news app that comes standard with your tech devices. ?? A suicide prevention and mental health toolkit. ?? A disco-ball device that creates virtual and physical safe, friendly spaces where young people can meet and feel a sense of belonging. EPIC! On Monday, I ran one of my Futures Wonder Lab sessions at the University of Geneva - Geneva Responsible Entrepreneurship Center (GREC), for these young people (ages 16-18) exploring #Geneva via CAS Trips - thanks, as always, to CAS Trips for the opportunity to work with these groups. Immersed in this university setting, these young people were extraordinary in exploring complex problems that they really cared about and had experienced at a local level. There was such generosity in their ideas, with the intention of really bringing solutions of value. You may think that these ideas seem ridiculous, which is exactly why they'll probably work! As Jim Dator said, "Any statement of the future should at first seem ridiculous." It's in this process of opening up their imagination and creativity that young people actively claim their belief in their power to make change happen. These Futures Wonder Lab sessions (for youth ages 8-18) have found a happy home at Geneva Responsible Entrepreneurship Center in so many ways: as GREC's 'resident futurist' it's a thrill for me to keep infusing entrepreneurial education with futures literacy, with our shared commitment for empowering youth to shape futures. I'm grateful that these young people are the 'voice of future generations' and the creators, intra-praneurs and entrepreneurs shaping solutions for a better world. Each one of them is a signal of hope. #foresight #futuresliteracy #wellbeing #flourishing #youthvoices #youth #innovation #entrepreneurship #responsibleentrepreneurship #signals #hope #creativity #entrepreneurialcompetencies Libérez vos idées – UNIGE Global Entrepreneurship Network

Building a proper economy of mutuality is hard and requires courage. But which courage exactly ? As part of the 4EU+ Alliance postgrade class on responsible intra/entrepreneurship management, Bruno ROCHE triggered a rich discussion on which concrete actions shall young professionals take to innovate and advance toward a stakeholder economy. It all starts with recognizing that creating trust and mutually beneficial arrangements between stakeholders creates significantly more value than thinking in terms of one against the others, as embodied by contemporary perception of competition. Also, looking back in philosophy and theology, as Bruno excels at, shows that we seem to have forgotten quite a lot of ancient wisdom. Take the difference between "company" and "business". Etymologically, the former stems from "sharing bread" while the latter derives from "anxiety". As one may recognize, the difference is subtle but significant. With courage, let's ditch business and (re)build companies! Again thank you Bruno for your time and effort in pushing education with talent and wisdom! Educating the Next Generation of Leaders This morning, I had the joy of teaching a group of around fifty students from six European universities about the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. We explored how to build a competitive advantage through an approach centered on purpose, responsibility, and the thoughtful management of multiple forms of capital—human, social, natural, and financial. Thank you to Thomas Maillart from the University of Geneva for orchestrating this session! Here is the link to the book I co-edited -- and the associated webinars. https://lnkd.in/dCx-kWC What struck me most was that, despite having little to no real-world experience in management or business operations, these students demonstrated a strong awareness of the economy’s significance—particularly the critical role of business and finance in shaping society. Once again, I am convinced that education is key to shaping the next generation of leaders and enabling the transition toward a more responsible economy for a fairer society. I look forward to staying in touch with this inspiring cohort of students! #Leadership #Education #Entrepreneurship #PurposeDrivenBusiness #ONEsociety
