?? IERE's Environmental Leadership Program students kicked off their spring semester with an unforgettable experience at the GTMNERR. They connected with other students in the cohort through fun icebreakers, gained valuable insights during the GTMNERR team career panel and soaked in the stunning scenery during the hike through GTMNERR. Every year, scientists and researchers from University of North Florida, Jacksonville University, and Penn State Berks come together to produce the State of the River Report. Their dedication helps us understand and protect our precious St. Johns River!?? This report meticulously evaluates the health of the Lower Basin by examining trends and status of various health indicators, including aquatic life, contaminants, fisheries, and water quality.

Dr. Scott Jones, a previous UNF Seed Grant recipient and Faculty Executive Board Member, is the lead author of a recently published paper revealing a new flower subspecies on the ancient dunes in the San Francisco Bay-Delta in California!
