When Elizabeth Kabakoyo joined our program in 2022, she was determined to empower small-scale farmers in her community through sustainable agriculture. With access to social entrepreneurship training, patient capital, and continuous support, she launched Glowish Agro Solutions, a social venture dedicated to producing bio-inputs that boost agricultural productivity for small-scale farmers in Uganda. Today, we're incredibly proud to see her showcasing her flagship product, the Eco Organic Fertilizer, at the #YoungAfricaWorks 2025 Dialogue hosted by Mastercard Foundation in Kampala- Uganda. Stories from our grant partners underline the difference we are making not only for women and their families, but also for communities. Solange fled war in her homeland in search of a better life. Thanks to new friends in her adoptive country Kenya, she enrolled in RefuSHE’s Girls Empowerment Program for education and vocational training. Today, she is a member of RefuSHE’s Artisan Collective, specializing in children’s clothing design. “I have always wanted to have a peaceful life; to raise my daughter well and earn a stable income.
