Africa is home to the world’s youngest population, with over 400 million youth aged 15 to 35. By 2030, they’ll represent 42% of the global youth. This generation holds limitless potential to solve the continent’s challenges—if they are equipped with the right skills. Yet today many young Africans lack basic computer skills. Africa needs 23 million STEM graduates by 2030 to fill key roles. In addition, women remain underrepresented in STEM fields, making up just 30% of science professionals. It’s key to invest in STEM education, close the digital divide & empower the continent’s next generation! ?? Follow the conversation at the Continental Conference on Transforming Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in Africa.
