October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let’s take this time to honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we’ve lost to breast cancer. Breast cancer affects millions of women and their families every year, but early detection saves lives. Together, we can spread awareness, share hope, and continue the fight against breast cancer. Wear pink, share stories, and stand in solidarity with the brave women and men battling this disease. Here’s how we can all make a difference: - Get regular mammograms and perform self-exams. - Encourage loved ones to prioritize their breast health. - Support research and advocacy efforts to find a cure. Getting cancer is scary, and expensive. The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation fills an urgent, unmet need: Alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with breast cancer treatment. While patients focus on the fight of their lives, Hope Chest focuses on helping Minnesota breast cancer patients stay in their homes, keep the heat and lights on, and put nutritious food in the fridge. They help make sure that patients can get access to transportation and child care so they can attend treatments.
